If you have not obtained this appearance, searching for it will not show it in your list of transmog appearances. However, it *is* able to be obtained as a transmog; once it's equipped, it will show up in the list.

It's a completely random drop. I got a depeleted dagger within 10 kills in the area, however I'm sure if I was there to grind for it I would end up taking much longer. The Crystals drop fairly easily and getting 50 of them would likely take an hour or two of solid grinding.

Getting the Apexis shards is not the issue. By the time you get a depleted item, assuming you're doing dailys, you're likely to have hundreds, if not thousands of shards lying around. I have nearly 1500 in my bank and just got my second depleted item. Your best bet for scoring depleted is getting to honored with Ogri'la and completing the Darkrune quests. Shartuul has a high probability of dropping them.

Another great way of getting depleted items is to summon elites at forge camps. Me and my druid friend (arms warrior + resto druid) summon these elites with 35 apexis shards nearly every day, and we can also 2man them. Though, we both are covered with at least 12 epics per set, so it might not be easy with rares.. Great way to do gold during doing dailys :)

This one's a little harder to come by than Ced's, due to the whole shard grinding element, but I prefer this one. It does have the same speed, damage range and DPS as Ced's, but it also has better stats imho. Here's how they play out: Ced: 0.72 crit 30 AP 130 health Crystal: 0.27 crit 51 AP 120 health 0.55 dodge 22 AC What it boils down to is whether or not you're willing to sacrifice half a % of crit and 10 health for half a % of dodge, 21 more AP and some armor. I know I am.

Considering the fact that this weapon model is of a medium usage I find this a highly sought transmog weapon.

1. It's a dagger and it looks like one. Nowadays daggers look like swords and that "stabby" feeling is lost somewhere between expansions.
2. It overrides enchant effects, therefore being able to go with a color themed transmog isn't ruined by the enchants.
3. It can be quite expensive due to its rarity, but I find the spend well worth it.
