Knight's Crest

I wonder if my Paladin used this to class-promote.

This can be used by horde characters. It will still display the alliance crest.

Better in which way? The stats are obviously going to be better on a lvl49 blue vs a lvl34 green. If referring to "Stormwind Guard" Transmogging...Maximillian's Shield is the only "authentic" shield and neither the Aegis or Knights Crest matches the coloration.
