TheWoWDBYou don't have to leave to your homecity to craft the horseshoes for her - you can find the anvil and the forge in a tent behind the NPCs that sell replica and heirloom items, in the middle-western part of the Faire; you also can find another set of anvil & forge at the injured carnies' camp, near [npc=14833], the one Who Never Forgets, and [npc=14871], looking for Jubjub.

The nearest vendors to the Darkmoon Faire portals are [npc=8362] (H), [npc=295] (A) for the Moonberry Juice and [npc=8363] (H), [npc=66] (A) for all the other trade goods. You'll have to collect the fossil fragments yourself. If you forgot to bring your fishing rod with you, [npc=56069] on Darkmoon Island sells fishing supplies.
You may have come here suspecting and/or hoping there's an anvil on the DMF island. You are right!
Go to [npc=14833]. He is the NPC who hands out the herbing, jewelcrafting and skinning monthly quests.
(He also used to do the First Aid quest too - a busy artisan!)
Tip: While in the area of Chronos, you may see an NPC running around with a companion. Chase after him and click on him. You're welcome!
Now doesn't that beat having to go all the way up to the main Thunderbluff mesa (sad times) or a short way in to Goldshire (not so sad times, except if some "special" role playing is happening of course)?

Description
You may have seen my horse, Baby, over near the wagons. She pulls the cart that hauls some of the animals in our Zoo Bizarre. She's a hard worker and she tears through shoes like you wouldn't believe. It's about time for a new set. I've already bought the raw materials. All you need to do is shape them over an anvil and apply them to Baby's feet. It's a quick job and worth some tickets, wouldn't you say?
