What worked for me - worked every time, I tested several times and it didn't fail once.
Unborn valkyr, spawn of onyxia, any other pet
1. Start with valkyr, use curse of doom
2. Use shadow shock
3. He will kill you, revive and use unholy ascension.
4. Use shadow shock
5. Use scorched earth
6. Use tail sweep until he dies.
