Fishing For Something Bigger

Fishing For Something Bigger is a quest for level 10-60 in Mechagon. It is step 1 of 4 in the Mechagon Fishing storyline, the opening step. The quest's turn-in marker is in Mechagon Island at 36.7, 47.6. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 8,150 experience and money.

Description

There's a huge fish lurking these waters, and it's been causing lots of problems!

It eats other fish, fishermen, and a lot of expensive gear. I saw it swallow a beautiful Zigby 300 Fishing Rod along with its owner just the other day!

I've got a plan, but I've lost a lot of my equipment in the waters around here. Can you help fish up some of these items for me?

Ionized Minnows are a scourge of these waters. They strip the ocean floors of any food, making it difficult for other species to survive. These fish have little to offer other than being a food source for larger fish.
