Bots Gone Wild is a quest for level 10-60 in Mechagon, added in Battle for Azeroth. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 8,150 experience and money.
It's loose up there!
I told them not to do it, but they didn't listen. Now it's gone out of control and killed everyone up there. It's an experimental Whirlbot. They never should have built it!
You need to stop it before it comes down here looking for more victims!

The ability that kills people is [spell=300721], which is not listed under the NPC's abilites. It deals 75% of your max hp as physical damage. No cast time, so it can't be interrupted.
From my tests you're (mostly) safe from this ability even as melee as long as you keep moving, like circle strafing around it - stop moving and you're toast.
This one is such a pain. For some reason i always die, so you are not supposed to get close? I don't even see with WHAT he kills me ... all he does is a cast, some whirling and that's it ...
Stupid quest for melee - even if you interrupt his cast and move out of circles, he hits like a truck - so depending on how many dots / bleeds and semi ranged attacks you have, enjoy playing keep away while his health slowly falls.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Life in the Rustbolt Resistance is not easy, <name>. But it is yours. We will not order you around or force you to fight. Mechagon is a land of endless opportunities, and you may chase whichever opportunities you see fit.
