For me there is a UI bug that causes this part of the achievement to show as incomplete even though I have already completed it.
If you are like me and could not find the bonfire to complete the achievement, find Zidormi on the 3rd level of the temple and speak to him. Click on "can you show me what the vale was like before the Black Empire" once travel back in time you will see the bonfire. I thought it was a bug in the game. I had a heck of a time figuring this out
