TheWoWDBIf you're having trouble finding these, kill all the critters in the areas marked on the map for the quest. They have a chance to respawn as Stormstruck Beavers. I was able to get my 3 after about 4 trips around to each of the marked areas.
If you having trouble seeing all the critters, go into Interface->Names->Critters and Companions, and check the box. You'll be able to easily see all the critters in the area.

This Questline can only be completed once the Nighthold raid is unlocked!
You get one Quest every day but the date I'm posting this(Patch 7.1 Build 22989) it is still possible to get the next quest on a different character. So say you complete the quest on your druid you can still get a quest from the same pet from any of your other characters. Don't know if there's a limit though.

Description
<Your direbeak hatchling looks warily at any loud piece of machinery you pass. You begin to wonder if something transpired between it and a mechanical pet at one point. They will need to learn to work together if they are to get along. Hunting together against the new prey it has begun stalking may just do the trick.>
