Making Scents

When [npc=203606] casts [spell=406404], [spell=411068] will appear as an extra action button. Using [spell=411068] will cause [npc=201426] to comment on what the [npc=203606] is using for defense. Click the corresponding orb (water, fire, air, earth). While you can ignore using [spell=411068], you will take damage for clicking the wrong orb.

Don't forget to sniff around for a [npc=205001] if you are Renown 9 for rep/barter tokens. If you are a hunter, you can also tame this little fella.

If you can deal significant enough damage quickly, you can kill the [npc=203606] before it casts [spell=406404] and instantly complete the dig.

I think you need to burst about 225k DPS within about 5 seconds or so.

Only got this for the first time yesterday, after 2.5 months of running these things on 17 toons. How's that for RNG? I did the Sniff dance, and Myrrit helpfully said something about lightning. Lightning? Is that air? Is it fire? Lightning in the real world travels from cloud to ground or vice versa, so.... earth? I hit air, to no effect, so I just waited it out and killed the orb.
