Making the Connection

Making the Connection is a Horde-only quest for level 50 in Nazjatar. It is step 2 of 9 in the Turning the Tide storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Nazjatar at 64.2, 52.1. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 6,800 experience and money.

Description

A communication crystal! Have they survived this long?

We used to use these to communicate. They allowed us to project images of ourselves to other nearby crystals to see and speak with those on the other end.

<Thalyssra examines the crystal for a few moments.>

The magic has long since depleted from the crystal. We will need a power source, preferably something just as old as this.

Check our surroundings, but be careful. It is too quiet out here....

You use the Flight Master if you do not have flying, select Ekka Crimsonscale at Ekka's Hideaway, Nazjatar. The quest giver, First Arcanist Thalyssra is a few feet from the Flight Master.

First, please note that if you kill mobs getting to the items, there still seem to be some random 1-2 that appear when you near the items.

You can enter at /way 64.01 47.23 go up the stairs and hang a left. Cracked Sphere is at /way 64.82 46.36 at the end of a hallway.

You can enter for the next piece at /way 62.83 46.85 Go left the next piece Shattered Staff is at /way 63.14 48.36. When you click it, it loots Discarded Staff.

The last piece is the Arcane scroll. The entrance to the building is at /way 63.54 41.59 Go up the stairs on a landing at /way 63.52 40.73 You will be clicking on Stack of scrolls.

After looting the last piece, you will need to return to Thalyssra, where you picked the quest up at. The stairs are at 63.49 51.88, you go up and to the left where the Flight Master is. You will be confronted by the image of Queen Azshara. There is some RP from here, then you can complete the quest. There is no fighting involved after the RP encounter.

When you turn it in, you will get the quest, "Terrors in the Deep".

    We need something to deal with the guardian of the Tidestone, <name>. Our new allies here say that there is a naga enclave located in the ruins of Zin-Azshari. If there is anything potent enough to counter Azshara's sorcery, it will be in the ruins of her capital city.
