ATTENTION: If you have not completed the zone introductory quests, particularly Aerospores and The Grappler, I encourage you to complete these quests before trying to finish this one. Without those unlocked you will not see the green aerospores that can help you bounce or grapple higher while in the air, and this will make the quest more difficult.

Look around the area to find the orangish bouncy mushrooms. Running over or jumping on these will propel up and the direction you are facing. Position yourself so you're facing towards a bouncy mushroom with a taller mushroom behind it that may have a mana spore sac on top to collect. You may only find another bouncy mushroom which you can use to bounce yourself closer towards a mana spore sac.

Surprise! This was implemented badly and you may not be able to actually bounce onto the taller mushroom. You cannot change direction from the way you were facing when you started the bounce until you reach the apex and begin falling. At that point you can steer while slowly falling and hopefully get where you wanted. If you can't get up higher using one specific bouncy mushroom, just try to find another that will make completing this quest easier.
