TheWoWDBfor people who cant get the transporter pad to work - angle your camera straight down above you, and there are a few pixels of cog wheel that you can click to activate the orb. thats my workaround anyway. let me know. good luck.

When you fly to the flightmaster the portal is located on the left side next to a circular platform over the slime lake. There is a npc next to it named "Pandemis".
The compressed slime spawns randomly and stands still inside the designated quest zone. He will light up as a yellow dot on your minimap.
Take the portal near the quest marker to get to the other side. The Green Slimes will be there. I could not find the Compressed Plague, though.
