Apparently the nets are further away than they appear. Even if the cursor is highlighted, you may not be close enough and receive an "out of range" error. So save yourself the trouble and just aim to land right on top of the netting.

Also mobs periodically spawn and attack people who try to inspect the nets, and I'm not 100% on this, but if 2 people are inspecting one, it looks like they attack the person who started last, no matter how far they are from the mob, and druids can avoid the issue it looks like, by clicking it while on flight form.

After you complete this world quest, Brena says, "Good. Predators should seek their own prey, rather than stealing from others."

That writing kinda irks me. Really, Blizz? You're gonna suggest imposing human morals on wildlife that stumbles upon a quick and easy meal left out in the open by careless walrusmen? Predators do whatever the heck they need to do in order to survive, and that's that.
