Quest is currently bugged in live.
1) Find spores that aren't bugged/evading
2) Kill them
3) Use Ice Core on corpse of Spore
4) Repeat until quest is finishedEdit: Fixed spelling error.
Edit Again: It seems that the quest may be fixed on all realms as of Nov 18/08. All spores should be behaving correctly now, and not evade bugging. So, just omit step one, and continue on with the quest as normal.
Edit for a third time: I've personally tested this and I can confirm that the quest is now working as intended. The spores are no longer bugged.
Quest
Seeds of the Blacksouled Keepers
A World of Warcraft quest in Howling Fjord. Facts and objectives from the current retail game data.

To do this quest I had to kill the spores (the ones that didn't evade) then freeze their corpse.
The corpses are not easy to find.
When they die, they explode, and a little orange ball is laying on the ground. That is the corpse. (:If you find it hard to see them, you can make the graphic low. Then the grass will be "flat", at it is easier to find them.

What to do
Description
The glade to the northwest, now the Twisted Glade, used to be home to a number of keepers of the glade. Together with the sisters, they saw to the glade's upkeep. When the glade changed, the sisters died, but somehow the keepers managed to survive. Now, they seed the land with poisonous spores that wither healthy greenery. I'll give you one of the cores from the ice elementals. Once you've destroyed a spore, use the ice crystal to freeze it and keep it from regenerating.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Spawn of the Twisted Glade
The glade to the west has been transformed into a hideous place called the Twisted Glade. Horrible beasts dwell among the trees, stones, and pool of the glade. I cannot guess where the creatures came from or what horrible forces animate them, but they must be dealt with!
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Keeper Witherleaf
You have been a great friend and ally to us, <name>. There is one more thing I must ask of you. You have seen the corruption of the Twisted Glade and the beasts that dwell there.
