If you're feeling lost, like I was, you can get to the island by going to the Violet Citadel in Dalaran and jumping over the wall and into the water down below (if you have a Water Strider or are a DK) or use a Goblin Glider (otherwise you will die from Fatigue).

Best way I've found to get there is to go to the left of the staircase at the Violet Citadel (down by where the pet daily usually spawns) and through the crumbled wall. From there, hug the Violet Citadel wall until you run all the way around it to the southern most point. Then jump off & use a Goblin Glider. You can glide all the way to the flight point.
Seems to be all PVP regardless of server type; faction PVP not free for all like the murloc one, but groups def help.
