Bristlespine is located at 42.38, 77.18. To avoid quillboar, you can start at Hillcrest Pasture /way 52.65, 76.17 and go up the hill towards the waterfall. (You should be on the south side of the river.) Go between cave and Horde camp at /way 52,28, 79.60 and proceed up hill to your right then cross waterfall. You can view Ancient Tidesage Scroll there, too. Follow the grassy path until you come to a rocky path to your left. Go up and stay to your right up and over until you see the giant thorn across the path. Stay above and to left of it while jumping across the top of the cave. When you get to 42.38, 77.18 drop down because he's right below you. After you beat him, run like crazy to the west until you get to the path up the hill to the right.
