In the Character Creator

The client's own ChrRaces row names Warrior as this race's default class, which is the specialization the character creator lands on before you touch anything.
Azeroth's bestiary files Orc under the Humanoid creature type, the same classification the game uses on every NPC that shares the body.

Appearance Options

The character creator ships 19 distinct appearance options for Orc, 18 on Body Type 1 and 14 on Body Type 2, worth 368 individual settings between them.

Who Is Playing Orc

Our rated PvP crawl currently holds 28,936 Orc characters, the 3rd largest of the 26 races it has seen.
The classes they play most are Shaman (5,760, 20%), Hunter (4,817, 17%), Warrior (4,264, 15%), Death Knight (3,535, 12%) and Monk (3,294, 11%).
9 different classes appear on Orc characters in that sample.
The body split across those characters is 67% male and 33% female.
In the Mythic Plus crawl, 2,067 ranked runs were set by Orc characters, the deepest key among them a plus 20 and the best Mythic Plus rating 3,971.

These are counts from our own rated PvP and Mythic Plus crawls, last refreshed 2026-11-04. They say who is playing the race right now. They are not the character creator's list of allowed classes: the client keeps that in CharBaseInfo, which this datamine does not carry, so a class missing from the list above only means nobody in the sample is playing it.
