Principles of Soaring
While Soaring through the air, pointing yourself toward any given direction sends you in that direction. Pointing yourself downward grants more momentum. Evening out can transfer that momentum forward. Pointing yourself upward slows you down. When at your slowest, you will start to fall slowly toward the ground, forward and down. You also gain access to the following abilities: Flap forward a short distance, gaining speed. Flap upward, gaining height at the cost of some momentum. Max 1 Charge
Skyward Ascent
Flap upward, gaining height at the cost of some momentum. Max 1 Charge
Soar
Muster your strength and launch into the air.
Surge Forward
Flap forward a short distance, gaining speed.
Visage
Switch between your Dracthyr and Visage forms. Your Visage emanates magic, significantly increasing out-of-combat health regeneration for your party.
Wing Buffet
With a powerful flap of your wings, knock away enemies in front of you.

In the Character Creator

The client's own ChrRaces row names Evoker as this race's default class, which is the specialization the character creator lands on before you touch anything.
Azeroth's bestiary files Dracthyr under the Humanoid creature type, the same classification the game uses on every NPC that shares the body.
Visage (row 76) is the form this race wears out of combat.

Who Is Playing Dracthyr

Our rated PvP crawl currently holds 15,139 Dracthyr characters, the 7th largest of the 26 races it has seen.
The classes they play most are Evoker (11,631, 77%), Priest (1,021, 7%), Warlock (661, 4%), Hunter (492, 3%) and Warrior (460, 3%).
7 different classes appear on Dracthyr characters in that sample.
The body split across those characters is 50% male and 50% female.
In the Mythic Plus crawl, 839 ranked runs were set by Dracthyr characters, the deepest key among them a plus 18 and the best Mythic Plus rating 3,557.

These are counts from our own rated PvP and Mythic Plus crawls, last refreshed 2026-11-04. They say who is playing the race right now. They are not the character creator's list of allowed classes: the client keeps that in CharBaseInfo, which this datamine does not carry, so a class missing from the list above only means nobody in the sample is playing it.
