Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 2 reagents for one craft of Blue Fireflight cost 13 gold99 silver. Most of that is Everburning Blasting Powder - 2 at 5 gold each, 10 gold, 71.5% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 14 gold72 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 65 gold74 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 51 gold75 silver; the Auction House would keep 3 gold28 silver of a sale, leaving 48 gold46 silver. That is an estimated 346.4% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 6.4% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 1,663 units across 14 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
