Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 3 reagents for one craft of Drums of the Mountain cost 8 gold6 silver. Most of that is Stonehide Leather - 8 at 1 gold each, 8 gold, 99.3% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 8 gold48 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 15 gold, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 6 gold94 silver; the Auction House would keep 75 silver of a sale, leaving 6 gold19 silver. That is an estimated 76.8% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 10.8% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 182 units across 13 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
