Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 2 reagents for one craft of Elixir of Dream Vision cost 15 gold58 silver. Most of that is Purple Lotus - 3 at 5 gold19 silver each, 15 gold57 silver, 99.9% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 16 gold40 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 29 gold17 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 13 gold59 silver; the Auction House would keep 1 gold45 silver of a sale, leaving 12 gold13 silver. That is an estimated 77.9% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 10.7% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 47 units across 9 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
