Where the reagents come from
Eternal Crystal. No recipe, Blizzard quest reward or dungeon journal drop in our game data produces it. Also a required reagent in 15 other recipes (14 Enchanting and 1 Jewelcrafting); Magically Regulated Automa Core takes the most, 5 per craft.

Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 1 reagent for one craft of Eternal Crystal cost 1 gold93 silver.
Break-even is 2 gold3 silver per craft, 67 silver72 copper per item at 3 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 44 silver, which does not clear it.
The crafted item currently lists for less than its reagents cost: −61 silver before fees, and the Auction House would still take 6 silver60 copper of a sale, so a craft loses 67 silver60 copper at these prices. At current listings, buying the crafted item costs less than making it. That is an estimated -35.0% return on the gold you put into reagents.
Listing depth right now: 133,715 units across 101 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
