Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 3 reagents for one craft of Farstrider Rations cost 1 gold7 silver. Most of that is Practically Pork - 2 at 46 silver each, 92 silver, 86.0% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 1 gold12 silver per craft, 28 silver16 copper per item at 4 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 91 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 2 gold57 silver; the Auction House would keep 18 silver20 copper of a sale, leaving 2 gold38 silver. That is an estimated 223.2% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 7.1% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 6,171 units across 44 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
