Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 3 reagents for one craft of Greater Dreamless Sleep Potion cost 10 gold34 silver. Most of that is Dreamfoil - 2 at 3 gold44 silver each, 6 gold88 silver, 66.5% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 10 gold88 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 29 gold97 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 19 gold63 silver; the Auction House would keep 1 gold49 silver of a sale, leaving 18 gold13 silver. That is an estimated 175.4% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 7.6% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 436 units across 19 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
