Blackmouth Oil. Made with Blackmouth Oil (Alchemy, Classic Alchemy) from 2
Oily Blackmouth. At lowest listed prices that makes one Blackmouth Oil for 6 gold, against 15 gold listed. Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 3 reagents for one craft of Swim Speed Potion cost 16 gold98 silver. Most of that is Blackmouth Oil - 1 at 15 gold each, 15 gold, 88.3% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 17 gold87 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 3 gold, which does not clear it.
The crafted item currently lists for less than its reagents cost: −13 gold98 silver before fees, and the Auction House would still take 15 silver of a sale, so a craft loses 14 gold13 silver at these prices. At current listings, buying the crafted item costs less than making it. That is an estimated -83.2% return on the gold you put into reagents.
Listing depth right now: 3,595 units across 60 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
