Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 1 reagent for one craft of Obsidium Skeleton Key cost 80 gold64 silver.
Break-even is 84 gold88 silver per craft, 42 gold44 silver per item at 2 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 44 gold99 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 9 gold34 silver; the Auction House would keep 4 gold49 silver of a sale, leaving 4 gold84 silver. That is an estimated 6.0% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 48.2% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 216 units across 15 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
