Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 1 reagent for one craft of Pygmy Oil cost 1 gold15 silver.
Break-even is 1 gold21 silver per craft, 60 silver52 copper per item at 2 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 2 gold98 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 4 gold81 silver; the Auction House would keep 29 silver80 copper of a sale, leaving 4 gold51 silver. That is an estimated 392.3% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 6.2% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 3,734 units across 61 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
