Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 3 reagents for one craft of Salad on the Side cost 2 gold79 silver. Most of that is Saxifrage - 1 at 1 gold99 silver each, 1 gold99 silver, 71.3% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 2 gold93 silver per craft, 1 gold46 silver per item at 2 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 3 gold89 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 4 gold99 silver; the Auction House would keep 38 silver90 copper of a sale, leaving 4 gold60 silver. That is an estimated 164.9% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 7.8% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 144 units across 9 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
