Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 2 reagents for one craft of Scroll of Intellect IV cost 23 gold2 silver. Most of that is Celestial Ink - 1 at 23 gold each, 23 gold, 99.9% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 24 gold23 silver per craft, 12 gold11 silver per item at 2 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 19 gold99 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 16 gold96 silver; the Auction House would keep 1 gold99 silver of a sale, leaving 14 gold96 silver. That is an estimated 65.0% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 11.8% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 1,126 units across 13 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
