Crafting estimate at current listings
No real market: too few listings for this price to mean anything yet.
- Reagent cost (lowest listed)
- 23 gold2 silver
- Crafted item, lowest listed price (each)
- 1 gold95 silver
- Items per craft
- 2
- Listed value of one craft
- 3 gold90 silver
- Auction House cut (5%)
- 19 silver50 copper
- Estimated profit at that listed price
- −19 gold31 silver
No real market: only 8 units across 2 auctions region-wide. With this little supply the lowest listing is one asking price rather than a market rate, so treat the estimate above as arithmetic, not an opportunity; a buyer at that price is not established.
- Evidence: 2 current listings holding 8 units of the crafted item in the US region. We see listings, not sales, so how many sell and at what price is unknown.
- Items per craft: the game’s spell data creates 2 per craft, so the listed value of one craft is that many times the lowest listed price.

Where the reagents come from
Light Parchment. No recipe, Blizzard quest reward or dungeon journal drop in our game data produces it. Also a required reagent in 307 other recipes (296 Inscription, 8 Enchanting and 3 Engineering); Codex of the Clear Mind takes the most, 200 per craft.
Celestial Ink. Made with Celestial Ink (Inscription, Classic Inscription) from 2
Violet Pigment. At lowest listed prices that makes one Celestial Ink for 16 gold88 silver, against 23 gold listed. Also a required reagent in 10 other recipes (10 Inscription); the most per craft: Glyph of Fire From the Heavens (Inscription, 3 per craft), Glyph of Shadow (Inscription, 3 per craft), Glyph of the Weaponmaster (Inscription, 3 per craft), Research: Celestial Ink (Inscription, 3 per craft) and Certificate of Ownership (Inscription, 2 per craft).

Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 2 reagents for one craft of Scroll of Versatility IV cost 23 gold2 silver. Most of that is Celestial Ink - 1 at 23 gold each, 23 gold, 99.9% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 24 gold23 silver per craft, 12 gold11 silver per item at 2 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 1 gold95 silver, which does not clear it.
The crafted item currently lists for less than its reagents cost: −19 gold12 silver before fees, and the Auction House would still take 19 silver50 copper of a sale, so a craft loses 19 gold31 silver at these prices. At current listings, buying the crafted item costs less than making it. That is an estimated -83.9% return on the gold you put into reagents.
Listing depth right now: 8 units across 2 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
