TheWoWDBThis breastplate is amazing vs. casters. By non-periodic, this mean direct damage. Things like Shadow Word: Pain, Corruption, etc, will not fire off the proc. However, the shield when activated will absorb the damage *dealt* by dots.
All calculated, this proc reduces spell damage taken by roughly 100-160 per spell, assuming it always procs on it's 1 in 3 basis. Even at level 70, this proc will help lessen the blow of those nasty crits.
