You can get this spell from the Archmage Xylem in Azshara.
You need to finish the quest "Warlord Krellian" and after Xylem will give you the quest "Fragmented Magic". You will need to sheep some Spitelash and wait 1 or 2 seconds , a mini sheep will spawn, kill 50 of this sheep and the quest is finish , return to Xylem and you will get the spell. The pig have different color :p
Tooltip

Learned From The Amazing Zanzo in Dalaran.
The sheep clones run away from the original sheeped mob fairly quickly. If you try to do this with ranged attacks it will take forever. Stand right next to the mob, sheep, wait for the clones and pop an arcane explosion off. This will net you 3-5 clones and make the quest far shorter.

Polymorph: Pig does not replace any Polymorph: Sheeps so you can complete this quest and still have Sheep at your disposal.
There is no difference between Polymorph:Sheep, Polymorph:pig, or Polymorph:Turtle.
Other then its a SHEEP, PIG, TURTLE.
And it allowed raid groups pre raid symbols to distinguish different targets and made for alot easier targetting and such.
It should be noted that recently the actual name of this spell has changed.
It used to be Polymorph: Pig.
It is now Polymorph(Rank 1: Pig).This pretty much breaks any macros or addons involving casting Polymorph Pig (or Turtle).
You can fix this, however, by simply changing the name to the new one.

This exactly like rank 4 polymorph except has a different graphic is all so dont worry about shorten duration, or lengthened duration. This quest is fairly easy, 20 minutes top and you go yourself a new polymorph.

With the addition of the raid targets it not that big of a deal. It is nice however to say "I've been pigged!", rather than "I've been sheeped!"

Waited for The Amazing Zanzo in Dalaran (Legion) for around 1.5 hours. He respawned inside The Legerdemain Lounge and ended his path in the same place.
I used the macro:
/cleartarget
/target the amazing
/focus target
/script SetRaidTarget("focus",8)
This should be usable on 3 targets simultaneously by a worgen mage if you ask me.
Easy way to find the npc in dalaran is turn on "class trainer" in tracking (minimap)
look for the spellbook (mage trainer) icon whos moving

IT is very useful to have mages differentiate between pigs, sheep, and turtles for fights like domo, or even humanoid/beast trash. this usually prevents sheeping the wrong mob and unsheeping the mob you were supposed to sheep.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you're thinking of creature versions of polymorph, i.e something a mob casts. (Shade of Aran, for instance.) Player cast versions of polymorph, regardless of what creature you're turning them into, will still heal your target. Patch 2.4.2 notes state: Creature versions of the Polymorph spell no longer heal the affected target.
I just learned the piggie poly from The Amazing Zanzo on a Horde mage. I'm fairly certain that pre-Cataclysm I'd noted him to be "red" to me. I'm not sure if he turned green because I'm a mage or because he's green to everyone now, but I read other posts on here that refer to him as Alliance so I thought I'd post that I got the poly from him as Horde. I found him just outside the Alliance-side bank, the Dalaran Merchant's Bank, by the way. I'd hit ctrl-v to turn on nameplates and found the little guy about to wander into The Militant Mystic shop.

Currently, Polymorph is part of polymorph/sap/incapacitate DR. Any applied CC that falls into this category (such as Repentance or Sap), will diminish the duration of next CC from same category to 50%. Another CC would reduce the duration to 25% (of the maximum duration); then, the target gains temporary immunity to another CC and after the immunity ends, targed isvulnerable to full-duration CC again.
Current DR chain for Polymorph is: 10 sec - 5 sec - 2.5 sec - immune

You left out Polymorph: Rabbit, acquired from the Noblegarden holiday. And the Serpent Tome is not actually in game. Just a leftover from beta.

05/06/2008 quest gave directly spell
So...I used this today and it turned my target into a porcupine. I don't have the glyph for porcupine. I don't even think I have it learned.
Anyone else see this happen?
Thanks for confirming! I nearly forgot to sort the comments by newest first, and was going nuts trying to look all around the web for how to get these now - I have many of them on my original mage from the old days, but it's been interesting trying to get them again on an alt now that it's all different.
You can not barbecue the pig no matter how hard to try to pull it into a nearby camp fire.
Actually the mana cost is different.

Also had to page a GM regarding the quest for this spell. Definitely still bugged. MY request is currently in "Escalation".
Confirmed 5/2/08 STILL BUGGED.
'Polymorph Pig' bugged. Did not receive.

Did this quest at around 6am. Made a ticket about it and a GM got to me in about two hours or so. It was escalated.

I too have just completed the quest line as of 5/9/08 at around 11pm central and its still bugged.
Also bugged, you would think they would come up with some standard procedure by now, but I guess pre-70 stuff is low priority...

Confirmed bug and GM intervention for me too - piggymorph guest bugged, opened a help ticket, got piggymorph a couple of days later.
i am always told to sheep one when i am in instances now they sould sey pig one ? XD
I too just completed the quest and did learn the spell as intended. Perhaps it has been fixed!
The bug to my knowledge has been fixed just did it today 8/29/08. Got the spell after doin the quest.
Either fixed or i got lucky. Got the spell without needing to ticket a GM. September 19th 2008
