Remeber not to use in water ;)
Environmentalists everywhere would disagree.

Here is the worgen cat form.
because trees dont have brains
Or near rocking chairs.
These cats do not require litter.
UNTAMABLE
We turn into bears for that. And we all know where that happens.
Environmentalists everywhere would disagree....which, I believe, says plenty about environmentalists.
The tedium that was 1 to 20 is now over!
Cat Form really helps speed things up when it comes to killing enemies quickly and finishing quests especially when you aqquire some of the more powerful skills.
Or near wolfs. And for non-druids dont step on them. AND NO MATTER WHAT DO NOT USE IT WHEN IN A PARTY WITH SOMEONE WITH A FLYING BROOM. ;)
Weapon speed and damage have no effect in cat or bear form. Only the raw stats and (at high levels) feral attack power have any effect.
Druids in Cat Form, Bear Form, Travel Form or [spell=1066], are treated as Beasts, and thus are susceptible to Hunters' [spell=1513]. Also, they will not show up on Track Humanoids but will show up on Track Beasts.
Druids in [spell=33891] are treated as Elementals and thus are susceptible to [spell=710] and [spell=76780].EDIT: For patch accuracy. Thanks for the responses.
Druids in Cat, Bear, Dire Bear, Travel or Aquatic form, due to not being humanoid anymore, cannot be sapped.
Not on tree of life
I wonder if there is any connection between this and Ice Cold Milk.......
here's the breakdown of how weapons work with your form. weapon speed/damage does not matter. your weapon is there for stats and stats only. by stats, it includes thing like base stats (stam intel...thoes guys.) and anything like attack power, spell damage, mana per 5. however, procs do not apply. so anything like http://www.wowhead.com/?item=11608 would be utterly useless to druids. and as for feral atk pwr, its a extra buff you get for being in a feral form. some weapons added those, much to the chargrin of non druids.
There is a secret ability to using cat form when you tape or pin buttered toast to your back and leap from the edge of Thunder Bluff. You will be amazed with the results! Be careful not to look down... or up in this case...
Just as an update to the above comment, as of the 3.0.X patches (lead-in to WotLK), weapon procs will now function for all feral forms. The rest remains true to date.
In WotLK rogues' Sap will effect "Anything with a brain" meaning it will work on druids in any form.
...That's not milk.
As of Patch 3.0 Chance on hit weapon procs (such as Executioner and Mongoose) will work in Cat, Bear, and Dire Bear forms.
Motion for Nyan Cat form.
Cat Form is probably reference to Cat, real life animal: The cat (Felis catus), also known as the domestic cat or housecat to distinguish it from other felids and felines, is a small, usually furry, domesticated, carnivorous mammal that is valued by humans for its companionship and for its ability to hunt vermin and household pests. It´s quite interesting, isn´t it ?
The act of shapeshifting frees the caster of Polymorph and Movement Impairing effects.Shifting won't break you out of fear, sleep, or other effects cast on you when you're in beast form.
Now learnable at level 8
Cat form... at level 10!
Maybe they finally added a quest for it :o
Edited for cat form now at level 8? world-ending change! (/rimshot for Cataclysm joke)
Do proc on sucessful melee strike still work in animal form? Like the stormshroud armor.
Here you go. Why downrate im replying to the comment about him not being sure about speed.
If any connection it would be that it's tauren druids that produces that Ice Cold Milk..
Type /mountspecial when in cat form and see what happens :P
Does anyone know what the markings on cat druid's shoulders are?
druids can now eat&drink while in form, but don't think cat druids can be taunted with milk or fish
Do not want.
No longer do feral druids have to suffer a low-point in leveling between 10 and 20 now that it is learn-able at 8.
Look at the patch it was posted in, Mystiey. Worgens & Troll Druids did not exist nor was the artwork for their forms at the time.
It'll probably be a minor glyph: [Glyph of Rainbow Dash] Changes the white Dash effect into a rainbow.
Blizzard answering questions about Shapeshift forms, Blizzcon 2014 (source):
- "In shapeshift form could it be a real animal roar?"
You want a roar for each specific animal?- "No but if you do a /roar, you sound like a Troll or something."
Noted. Good idea.
I hope for this! Like the Worgen form roar vs the Human roar, it must be possible!
Thank you, Mister Data.
The speed bonus from Feral Swiftness only works outdoors.I am almost positive it will be indoors come WotLK, but I can't provide the link yet due to the forums not responding for me at the moment.
No way, kitties are lactose intolerant!
In Legion, cat form will change appearance based on the appearance of the druid's artifact weapon.
Yes, procs that triggered on "melee hit" always functioned properly in druid forms. The only procs which did not function properly in older versions of WoW were those procs which triggered off the "melee weapon hits", such as procs one would find on the weapon itself, whether it be part of the item or an enchant. As of WotLK, all melee procs function in feral forms, including weapon procs.
I'm not sure about the speed thing, but at least Entangling Roots works indoors now, its finally useful for raiding!
In patch 3.2, the appearance of druid bear and cat forms will be redesigned, with five different color schemes to chose from, based on the druid's hair (night elf) or skin (tauren) color.

In the Next patch, the Cat and Bear form will get new looks, ive seen them myself on the WoW homepage, and they look sooo cool! Cant wait till patch release! There's not just one new look, but many looks and diffrent colors, that can be changed simply by going to the barber shop! Cant wait!
thank god blizz made the new form skins.. now the cat form looks better AND it doesnt make you look like a half starved stray
Just realized something neat, The Reddish-Brown Tauren Cat form looks exactly like Scar (excluding the weird moon symbols on their back, the bracelet thing on their wrists, and of course the scar) from the Lion King. Even has the same Eye color. If you ask me, Blizz intended this.

I just submitted several screenshots of the Worgen and Troll Cat forms since thier havent been that many submited yet. I used hair color as referance determine each form and so labled them as i saw on my screen. (*note for Worgens the color hair you have in your human side determines your form color, and is difficult to change the color since you have to be in Worgen side to use the barber's chair. the colors are as followed going right starting with: black, Brown, Pale Tan, Red, and last a Golden Blonde)
i know most people wont care but for those people like me that do i hope these screenshots and information helps :)
Uhhh.... I think it's to signify that it's a druid... like a cenarion circle logo or something
[Glyph of Rainbow Dash] Makes your Cat Form at least 20% cooler.
Cat Form has 2 ways to increase its speed: 1. Dash, which is a Cat Form's version of the Rogue's Sprint ability. 2. Feral Swiftness (2 point Talent in the Feral tree; requires 10 points in the Feral tree) gives Cat Form a 15% movement speed bonus for each point, and it gives a 2% dodge chance bonus for each point. The speed bonus from Feral Swiftness only works outdoors.
