It drops from Thaurissan Firewalker in Burning Steppes, not Searing Gorge. According to wowhead statistics, the drop rate is around 4%, which sounds about right compared to my own observations (grinding for it on 3 different characters).
In Burning Steppes kill anything Thaurissian related - War Reavers (big construct guys), Thaurissian spies, agents, etc, because they all share the same spawns and you'll maximize your Firewalker respawns. I got two of these patterns (and 4 legs) in three circuits - killed what was there and then two full(ish) respawns. Took about 15-20 minutes if I had to guess. Did it on my paladin (the tailor) but in retrospect I should have done it on my druid miner farmer alt, because a) faster killing and b) truesilver and gold nodes I saw but couldn't do anything with. (just for auction house money.)
