How it works

It does not trigger the global cooldown, so it can be used between other casts.

Counterspell is built from 2 client effects, applied in this order:

  1. Effect 1 is Interrupt Cast (effect type 68).
  2. Effect 2 is Apply Aura (effect type 6). It applies aura type 27.

What it does

Counterspell is an Arcane spell with an instant cast, a range of 40 yards, a 12 sec cooldown and effects that last 6 sec. When cast it interrupts spellcasting and applies an aura. The client files the whole spell under the interrupted mechanic.
