TheWoWDBA MC Tank's choice! All main tanks should be using this during MC, especially during fire bosses such as magdamar, baron geddon, and ragnaros. Personally, without the dark iron gear, i think my time tanking in mc would be most tedious =|
Dark iron is mined in mc as well as the burning steppes, it is relativly easy to come about. The "tough" part is smelting it, which requires the recipe and a special forge near the MC entrance in BRD.
As for the lava and fiery cores, these are farmable in mc and drop from pretty much all mobs.
