obtained from quest started from mining the ore

Is it possible to obtain rank 3 from a basilisk, or just from a node?

I got the rank 3 item (loot goes in your bags) after 1043 deposits in my bag space. I had rank 2 and I did farm this on and off but this particular session I farmed 1000 ore then circles around broken shore for the seams I am still working on and came back to argus to continue cause the seems to be on a 8 to 10 minute cooldown from what i gathered as I farm these legion mining achievements. So after 3 or 4 cracks on the eastern most island in argus (the best spot to farm the ore (do not bother with ore on the other 2 islands, not as efficient) I got the quest to pop up, I got the item from the node in the south region by that world quest where you shoot the cannon towards the legion building to complete the quest, around that area.

I also got from rank 2 to rank 3 seam in like 8 node cracks while I was farming this so yes I got both rank 3 seam and deposit in 1043 deposits in my bags from rank 2.

Last 2 I am working on is the legystone and felslate seam and I am sweeping broken shore every 10 minutes and during my 10 minute break I rip out the barbells/dumbells/kettleball and do some pumping cause why not right cause miners are strong and I am built like a brickhouse so I got to crack rocks I better get my gains in while I am doing this. I am level 9000 toughness irl btw and I am having a coffee with protein powder in it looking at this wall of text saying puny whelps reading this better pump some iron like me if you working on mining achievements.
