The flame elementals have an extremely annoying interrupt, which puts the extractor on a 30-second cooldown. The earth elementals, however, allow you to cast even while you're thrown up into the air, so it's a straightforward 45 minutes to collect and allow the souls to go dormant (15-minute cooldown per soul). Once it's up and running, the effect lasts for around 40yds before the lightbox resets. You can't remove the buff, but you can move out of its field. Not one I'd use often, but nice to see some of the old skies again.
