Inflicts (100% of Spell Power) Frost damage to nearby enemies, immobilizing them for up to 10 sec.

How it works

Each cast of Frost Nova costs 115 Mana. Its dispel type is client id 1. Its aura procs every time its trigger condition is met.

Frost Nova is built from 2 client effects, applied in this order:

  1. Effect 1 is School Damage (effect type 2). It scales with 1 times spell power. Its area radius is 10 yards.
  2. Effect 2 is Apply Aura (effect type 6). It applies aura type 26. Its area radius is 10 yards.

What it does

Frost Nova is a Frost spell with an instant cast, no range (it targets the caster) and effects that last 10 sec. When cast it deals Frost damage in a 10 yard radius and applies an aura in a 10 yard radius. The client files the whole spell under the rooted mechanic.

Generated from the SpellEffect, SpellMisc, SpellCooldowns and SpellRange records in the current retail game build. Effects the client marks as internal hooks are left out.
