Yeah, man, what's the point of a recolored version of a mount we already have! Because the black/blue/green/ironbound/plagued/red/rusted/time-lost/violet proto-drakes are all so unique, and definitely not just re-colorations of existing mounts! Oh, wait....

Though you make a valid point that this is unnecessary people will still make them. NOW for some RNG math :P (pointless I know but I'm bored)

Assumption: 11 million players (or so they say). Tailoring is 1/6 crafting proffesions and 1/10 proffesions total. So lets say (just to have a number tbh) that 1 million players can make this. Now, not all will make this but lets (once again just to grab a number) say that 500.000 players can and will make this.

Mats:
6 Orbs for recipe
4 Orbs for craft
1 Ebon/Spellweave and Moonshroud.

Multiply with 500.000... that's napkin math on a baby napkin for you... now grab average value on your server for a Frozen Orb and the three Clothies. See how much gold that disapears?

They make these things every now and then. Cases normally brought up are things like The bag, The Gryphon and Rings of the Kirin Tor. And that's not counting the MOUNT

So I'll assume the four orbs hanging off of the corners are Frozen Orbs.
This sort of reminds me of the hula doll on the Turbo-Charged Flying Machine which remains visible on the craft even after it's made.
