TheWoWDBBecause the specific spells get unlocked, buffed, and have stack counts from that expansions' mining skill tree. getting two charges of algari overload shouldn't mean you immediately start with two charges of midnight overload, so they need to be different abilities.

As a fun note: the voidbound overload for Midnight opens a portal, but unlike previous Titan-Touched etc. portals, it can take you across zones to completely different areas.
I've overloaded a voidbound node twice so far, and both times it took me from Zul'Aman to Eversong Woods (and didn't drop me near an active ore node).
