Crimson Whelpling

As of patch 4.0.6, all pets with wings can now fly with you on a flying mount. Previously a lot of them, especially Classic/TBC companions were ground-only even with wings, such as this one.

I know this was said on the item you loot to get this pet, but I will say it here, he is lootable from 3 whelplings in the Wetlands they are..

Flamesnorting Whelp
Crimson Whelp
Red Whelp

the chance to loot one of these cut little guys is about .2-.3% per kill, I just got mine today after killing about 400 of the buggers.

A pic of it with me should be viewable up above for size ref. for it as its smaller than the actual Whelps you kill.

edit: almost forgot, there are pleanty of LOST Whelps, but they don't drop it so don't waste your time fighting them

As of Cataclysm, the mobs who dropped these whelpling pets have all been changed.
