Hyacinth Macaw

Graphic doesn't do justice to this bird. The greenwing macaw is much closer to its real life counterpart. The real hyacinth is a solid, beautiful royal blue (except for the macaw trademark bare patch around the eye, which is yellow). There's no purple or yellow on its wing or tails. I recommend googling for a picture of one. It's a gorgeous creature. As rare in life as it is in WoW sadly. They're endangered and in the pet trade they go for about $10,000. The world's largest flying parrot. As an avid parrot lover, I was overjoyed to see real life birds like this available in WoW.

But I digress, the in-game version. I was pretty disappointed in the bird's stats. Standard parrot ability set, and it only comes in breed #3 so it has the lowest stat total a rare can have. You're better off using most other, much easier to get "rare" parrots in battle.

World drop means it can drop rfom any mo in the whole world (the vanilla one to be precise). This pet is a "zone" drop which means that it can be dropped by any npc in a certain zone (Stranglethorn Vale, both north and cape)
