Switch Flight Style

I personally really don't like this.
In DF, I was switch flight style by just using different mount.

Old flight style is useful when the distance you want to move is just enough to mount but not enough to throw a skyward ascent in.
Or eventually if you want to do some stationary flight to get out of ground mobs for a little while.

This is nothing more then just basic quality of life stuff.
Having that walled behind a 5 second cast renders it plain useless.

Let alone having it on top walled behind some long achievement.

Doing such an achievement to get a small QoL.
QoL that is anyway ruined by the cast time.
This doesn't make much sense imho.

The current 5 second cast time on "Switch Flight Style" must be an April Fool's joke, and it's not even April.

This is not good. I used to be able to just pick the right mount for the job, but now have a very unfun 5 sec pointless cast over and over to give me time to think about whether or not I really should be playing this game at all. If they wanted to extend the dragonriding style and speed to other mounts, perhaps they could add a button on the mount panel that allows me to choose, for a given mount, whether I want it in one style or the other. Ah, but then how does that fit with Pathfinder(s)? Also: it feels weird to see some mounts (like the Hearthstone Disk) go through the "flap" motion without wings to flap.
