Source is the collection journal’s own source for each appearance, read from the current retail build; bosses, quests, recipes, prices and requirements come from the game’s item, journal and quest records.

This is a complete head-to-toe outfit - it fills 8 armor slots, so it can be worn as a full look with nothing borrowed from another set. 16 of 17 pieces are Bind on Pickup.

Ensemble: Netherfiend Battlegear is a single item whose use effect learns all of Netherfiend Battlegear at once. It is Bind on Pickup.

The game links 2 other versions to Netherfiend Battlegear, each labelled the way the collection journal labels it. This page is the Normal version.

• Purple Guise of the Nightstalker - 27 pieces - Rogue, Monk, Druid, Demon Hunter
• Original Lunarblight Leathers - 20 pieces - Rogue, Monk, Druid, Demon Hunter

3 companion sets shipped in the Legion: Assaults group alongside it:

• Normal Vileweave Vestments - 26 pieces - Priest, Mage, Warlock
• Normal Ered'ruin Scalemail - 19 pieces - Hunter, Shaman, Evoker
• Gold Xorothian Plate Armor - 16 pieces - Warrior, Paladin, Death Knight

4 other sets reuse the 3D models of Netherfiend Battlegear’s head, shoulder and waist, most shared models first:

• Cruel Combatant's Felskin Armor (Legion, 18 pieces): the same head, shoulder and waist models, recoloured.
• Cruel Combatant's Dragonhide Armor (Legion, 18 pieces): the same head, shoulder and waist models, recoloured.
• Cruel Combatant's Ironskin Armor (Legion, 18 pieces): the same head, shoulder and waist models, recoloured.
• Cruel Combatant's Leather Armor (Legion, 18 pieces): the same head, shoulder and waist models, recoloured.

Matched in the game files: each piece’s ItemDisplayInfo names its 3D model and texture. The same model with another texture is a recolour. Only pieces with a 3D model of their own (helms, shoulders, cloaks, weapons, shields, off-hands and some belts and robes) can be compared this way; pieces drawn from textures alone are left out.

1 piece of Netherfiend Battlegear can be listed on the Auction House (it does not bind on pickup); 1 has a listing on US connected realms in our latest scan.

Lowest listed price on any US connected realm in our recorded Auction House scan, per piece; transmog gear is priced per realm, so the realm named is where that price was seen.

Sets from the same content batch with the same class restriction.
