Cone of Cold

Tooltip

Targets in a cone in front of the caster take to Frost damage and are slowed by 40% for 6 sec. The first 4 targets hit by this cone are slowed by an additional 10% for an additional 3 sec.

How it works

Each cast of Cone of Cold costs 290 Mana. Casting it triggers a 1.5 sec global cooldown. Its dispel type is client id 1.

Cone of Cold is built from 2 client effects, applied in this order:

  1. Effect 1 is Apply Aura (effect type 6). It applies aura type 33. Its base value is -40. It applies the ensnared mechanic. Its area radius is 10 yards.
  2. Effect 2 is School Damage (effect type 2). Its base value is 144. It scales with 0.129 times spell power. Its area radius is 10 yards.

What it does

Cone of Cold is a Frost spell with an instant cast, no range (it targets the caster), a 10 sec cooldown and effects that last 6 sec. When cast it applies an aura with the ensnared mechanic in a 10 yard radius and deals Frost damage (base value 144) in a 10 yard radius.

Generated from the SpellEffect, SpellMisc, SpellCooldowns and SpellRange records in the WoW Forever beta client, build 1.60.1.70532. Effects the client marks as internal hooks are left out.
