1. First Dirt Pile - 55.3, 59.5 in Eastern Plaguelands, behind the building
2. Second Dirt Pile - 42, 48 in Felwood, under the water
3. Third Dirt Pile - 42.74, 30.70 in Thousand Needles (thanks all, went out for dinner). Cave mouth at 44.0, 37.3 (under water), thanks @blackadmin. Dirt pile is at the end of the cave at coords.
4. Fourth Dirt Pile - 35.3, 48.9 in Shadowmoon Valley (WoD)
5. Fifth Dirt Pile - 26.2, 68.5 in Netherstorm (Outland, BC). Three players must have their Torch of Pyrreth (toy) equipped and stand near the smaller crystals to spawn the Loose Dirt Pile in the center under the large crystal for one minute. Others can complete the torch part and you can loot.
6. SIxth Dirt Pile - 56.74, 21.49 in Valley of the Four Winds (MoP) - Inside the big mouth (fly up to it)
7. Seventh Dirt Pile - 25.25, 71.48 in Azure Span (Dragonflight). Have torch toy up, stand next to snowman by the ice rock.
8. Eighth Dirt Pile - 63.88, 72.53 - Dragonblight (Northrend) - next to dragon bone hand
9. Ninth Dirt Pile - 46.09, 50.66 - Northern Barrens (Kalimdor) - On top of a hill overlooking The Crossroads
10. Tenth Dirt Pile - 64.7, 55.4 - Near the Dark Portal in Blasted Lands (Eastern Kingdoms). Use torch to light the pillar.
11. Eleventh Dirt Pile - 57.89, 26.36 - On a floating island in Nagrand (Outland, BC). Fly up to it, behind the tree.
12. Twelfth Dirt Pile - 53.39, 87.49 in Highmountain (Legion), on top of a mountain top
13. Thirteenth Dirt Pile - 68.79, 73.38 in Western Plaguelands (Eastern Kingdoms). Next to 2 carts (between the second cart and the castle). - This one is out of order, but was discovered at this point. | May not count towards achievement
14. Fourteenth Dirt Pile - 36.81, 35.77 in Grizzly Hills (Northrend, Wrath). Alliance talk to Gordun at 36.84, 35.66, take log ride, pick up pile at end. Horde talk to Darrok at 35.1, 34.7 , take log ride, pick up pile at end.
15. Fifteenth Dirt Pile - 73.2, 39.5 in Dragonblight (Northrend, Wrath)
16. Sixteenth Dirt Pile - 38.7, 55.0 in the Timeless Isle (MoP). Next to boss in center of arena.

1. For horde: From Orgrimmar>[spell=33068] (portal in zeppelin tower)>Fly from there to Eastern Plaguelands. For alliance take [object=335360]>Fly from there to Eastern Plaguelands Alternative if you've done the pet battles Use your [item=140192]>In [zone=7502] talk to [npc=121602] chose "Would you please send me to Stratholme">fly from there to the location in Eastern Plaguelands.
2. From Stormwind City/Orgrimmar>[zone=8670]/[zone=8568]>take [object=312128] (close to the war table for warfronts)>Alternative if warfront isn't in control. Take [object=203135]>fly from there to Felwood.
3. From Stormwind City/Orgrimmar>[spell=303510]>fly from there to Thousand Needles.
4. For Alliance use [item=110560]>fly from there. - For Horde from Orgrimmar>[object=323849]>fly from there to [zone=6719].
5. From Stormwind City/Orgrimmar>Talk to [npc=150122]/[npc=150131] near the [npc=26255] to get to the dark portal in Hellfire Peninsula (you need the old zone to be active)>Fly from there (with own mount) to Netherstorm.
6. From Stormwind City/Orgrimmar>[object=397990]/Alternative get a Teleport: Vale of Eternal Blossoms from a Mage>fly from there to Valley of the Four Winds.
7. From Stormwind City/Orgrimmar>[object=380436]>fly from there to/use teleport towers to The Azure Span.
8. From Stormwind City/Orgrimmar>[object=123469] Northrend>fly from there to Dragonblight.
9. For Horde: From Orgrimmar>fly from there. For Alliance get a Portal: Theramore from a mage>fly from there to Northern Barrens. Alternative if you've done the pet battles Use your [item=140192]>In [zone=7502] talk to [npc=121602] chose "Would you please send me to Wailing Caverns" fly from there to the location in Northern Barrens.
10. From Stormwind City/Orgrimmar>Talk to [npc=150122]/[npc=150131] near the [npc=26255] to get to Blasted Lands (the new zone has to be active, else you get to outland)>Fly from there to the location. Alternative for Horde get a Portal: Stonard from a mage. As Alliance just fly there from Stormwind City.
11. From Stormwind City/Orgrimmar>[npc=26255]>fly from there to Nagrand.
12. Use your [item=140192]>fly from there to the Highmountain
