Does Steam Do Fire Damage?

1. Mythic Difficulty.

2. Head up to Kokia's ring fight area and clear the trash around the entire ring. Notice on the map the four pools up small stairs that are on the outer edges, two per side for four in total.

3. Once all the trash is cleared, begin fight and pull boss to the nearest pool. She runs nice & fast so not much waiting at all to get her near each pool.

4. Stand in the pool and she'll hurl a fiery boulder at you. The boulder will explode in the pool. 1/4 completed. Steam rises from the eggs in the pool so you can tell it's heated.

5. Rinse & Repeat 3 more times by running to the other pools around the ring. Achievement tracker will have turned white once all four pools are heated.

6. Kill boss.

8. Profit. Achievement Completed.

This achievement can be a little annoying. You need the boulder to make each of the pools with the eggs around the circle have a steam effect come off them. If you try to roll the boulder over the stairs, it gets stuck and blows up sometimes, or hits the corner of the pool, or rolls over it and doesn't steam the pool.

The boss will rotate doing a ritual of blazebind into 2 boulders, so let the boss summon an add further away from the pool and then drag the boss to the pool. The dps stay behind and kill the elemental add quickly and stay away from the boss. The tank and the healer can stand in the pool and let the boulder spawn directly in the pool. This worked on each pool without any issues and is much more reliable than trying to let the boulder roll into the pool. The tank and the healer can move away while the boulder cast is going off. Since the boss does two boulders, we took it easy and did a summon, let boss get close to pool and cast 1st boulder, then drag the rest of the way to pool, cast it inside the pool for boulder 2. Repeat for the second pool. The 3rd and fourth pool are further away so i recommend letting the boss cycle through twice if needed going from the 2nd to 3rd pool rather than rushing and missing the timer on the boulder and making the floor have fire on top of the pool platform.

Having the boulder roll THROUGH the steam pool vs landing in it had a much more consistent steam application to the pools. This achievement is largely dependent on Tank positioning as even if the group is not in the perfect spot, if the tank is in the right spot you can make almost any boulder direction roll through it. We found it best for the tank to stand behind the pools and have the healer + dps stand at the top of the stairs a couple of feet away from the pool.
We tried grouping IN the pool but even when the boulder had a direct hit it did not apply steam.
