To all the people having issues with Deadwind Pass for this. There is only 1 battle pet in the entire zone. Restless Shadeling (only available at night) So come at night and try your luck.

EDIT: Correction now that we have more knowledge of spawn times (and I got mine) they SPAWN at midnight then that's all till the next day so check you servers time and be ready! Happy Hunting!

Many of the battle pets have certain conditions that have to be met before they appear. For example, it has to be raining in the Cape of Stranglethorn for the Baby Ape to appear.

For the pets in Deadwind Pass, they appear in the cellars beneath Kharazan (the entrance is right outside in the ruins of a house) at exactly midnight SERVER time. They do not respawn until the following night at midnight. There are plenty there, though, so as long as you're not on a busy server with a bunch of people waiting for them, you should have plenty of time to go grab one.

One note, though... For some reason, on my server (Sentinels), Deadwind Pass seems to be on a different time than the rest of Azeroth (3 hr difference, really confused me at first). You may want to make a quick trip to see what the server time is for that zone on your server.
