Essence Essentials

I've equipped all of them except the PvP ones so I guess those are also needed. No achievement for me, then.

I was initially confused by the wording of this achievement, so now that I have earned it I'd like to perhaps be overly explicit about what you have to do:

TLDR: Learn every essence, at least rank 1.
So, no grayed-out essences in the list on the right side of the Heart of Azeroth interface panel. You don't have to activate every essence in the matrix on the left side of the interface panel; just learning it is enough.

When it says "from the Rise of Azshara update" (which is patch 8.2) you might think it's referring to some specific essences and not others. Perhaps you will be surprised (as I was) to be reminded that the entire essence system was added in that patch. There were no essences before 8.2. Now, some more essences were added in 8.3. I don't know if you need those to get this achievement, because the final essence I learned was Blood of the Enemy, which is one of the original 8.2 essences.
